Assistant Professor of African and African Diaspora Studies at the
University of Texas at Austin, the author of Black Food
Geographies, and co-editor of Black Food Matters. They discuss the
need to redefine food and health systems challenges to develop
solutions that work for communities, how Reese's work fits into
larger activist projects to ensure people are fed more sustainably,
and the ways care and affection both inform and strengthen her
research.
